Wordpress is so bulky !
One of sites that I managed has just some 100-odd simple posts + 5-10 minified images + pluggins + native-wordpress code.
But guess the code size.
It's >250MB !
I love wordpress & the quick & easy way of deploying sites using it.
But in the long run as your site content grows, the fun part starts to slip.
On top of that, the maze of pluggins & their own-way of integrating, not-integrating & breaking functionalities, keeps you on the toes.
Dear wordpress, with all due respect, if this sounds like ranting, it is.
I feel the un-avoidable ecosystem of pluggins is what does to the wordpress.
Time to explore the world of static site generators.
