This Portfolio Set-up Process using Zola

I've been writing on Tech stuff - that I use or experiment or sometimes just out of fun - for quite sometime now.

Initially I used Blogger to start. Then moved to different platforms with time - migrating to different stacks, different DNS set-ups, different domains (to cut cost - renewal is costly sometimes) etc.

So the journey was from Blogger --> Wobbly --> Wordpress --> Hugo (temporarily) --> Zola (currently).

Not that this signifies what's best - it is just that whatever deemed best fit to my requirement and efficiency, I chose that. Although this might not be the same factor for everbody.

My Workflow

• Write\Edit posts in source-repo Markdown files in VScode.
• Push code & blog-post changes to Github.
• Automatic Build\Compile Zola source-code using Github Actions on push.
• Automatic Copy build-output to separate dir for house-keeping purpose - keep source-code & output dir separate.
• Setup Cloudflare with DNS and pages to AUTOMATICALLY pick the latest build output. And automatic deploy.
• Check all changes look good.
• Enjoy a cup of tea !
